Saving Lives Through Knowledge

Every 11 minutes, someone completes a suicide. Among young adults ages 18–25, there are 25 attempts for every death by suicide. Among seniors, the rate is  one completed suicide for every 4 attempts. Most often, the cause is untreated depression or other mental illness — yet warning signs are almost always present.

Dr. Wright has certified hundreds of people in suicide prevention, including social workers, nurses, teachers, principals, counselors, parents, pastors, managers, firefighters, and law enforcement. Her 90-minute training program equips participants to recognize risk factors, respond effectively, and take action. Certification lasts three years and includes interactive role play to prepare individuals for real-life scenarios.
